Joslyn’s legal practice focuses on transactional work for private investors, lenders, large and small businesses, individuals and non-profit entities. She has practiced in the Roaring Fork Valley since 1996; previously with Leavenworth & Karp, P.C., and as a founding partner of Hill, Kinney & Wood, LLC. Joslyn and Kelcey founded Wood Nichols, LLC in 2013.
Joslyn’s extensive transactional experience enables her to effectively advise her clients on business matters and put together customized business, lending and real estate transactions. She handles a broad range of legal issues for her clients, ranging from helping first-time home buyers to advising national businesses in complex real estate and employment matters. Prior to moving to the Roaring Fork Valley, Joslyn practiced business and transactional law in Texas and Hawaii. In Hawaii, as a Deputy Attorney General, she represented the State of Hawaii in the development and finance of its affordable housing projects throughout the State and litigated cases involving the condemnation of the fee simple interests of residential real property.
Joslyn is a graduate of the University of Maryland and the University of South Carolina School of Law where she was also an editor of the law review. She currently holds active licenses to practice law in Colorado and Hawaii and is admitted to practice before state and federal courts in Colorado and Hawaii.
Joslyn enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and skiing. She lives in Aspen, Colorado with her husband and four children.
